A couple of weeks ago my husband and I both started weight watchers. To make it more interesting, Kris suggested we make it a competition; since we both need to lose weight and get healthier, we figured it would motivate us. Kris said we should each have something we will 'get' for whichever one wins. I figured something small. But no - my husband dreams big. So he said at the end of the 3 months time (by April 1), if he loses the highest % of body weight, then he will get the big flat screen TV he's been lusting after. I said fine- whatever motivates you - I know we'll get it some day anyway since he wants it so bad. (We do always ultimately end up getting what he lusts after.... the Suburban, the piano, etc - even if we can't afford it, somehow he does it - gets them and then just asks me for forgivness later - when he can't return the item anyway so we have to keep it). I told him if I win, I would like to begin taking horseback riding lessons again. It's great exercise, fun, and something I truly miss that I haven't done since we've been married.
WELL.... this moring he was surfing the internet and discovered that Circut City was going out of business. He told me he might go browse and see what deals they have. I knew I wouldn't be able to keep him away from it anyway, and if they had good deals, he would probably get some stuff for the business. SOOOO - I come home tonight and find this....

I started Weight Watchers too, just a couple weeks ago to finish losing the last 8 or so pounds of pregnancy weight that has been hanging on since Dallas was two weeks old. I've lost 4 pounds now, with 4 more to go to be my pre-pregnancy size, but then I want to lose 10 more to be the size I was before I got sick after my miscarriage. It seems like a lot when you only lose 1-2 lbs. a week. We should check in with each other each week on our progress. :) Kris, that little stinker; he just ruined the competition! At least you get the benefit of a big screen too, right?
THat's really funny! I guess he has to live up to his end of the deal, though, right? He has to lose more than you. If not, you've got real leverage for getting the riding lessons PLUS something else! :)
OH my word. I have to say, when I heard about CC going out of biz, I was thrilled. We have a mega old antenna tv. I hope we can bank on a deal-many weeks from now. (When I'm hoping for 90% off!) So what's the motivation for him now?! haha, RASCAL. I love your room color. Good luck with WW. I didn't know you took riding lessons. So fun!
